Identify key roles and tasks in the production process

When it comes to the production process everyone in the company has an allocated vital role.

For example, our director or a producer will take the call from the client, giving the brief for a new project they wish the company to create. From here on the producer will have an overview of the project throughout the process, giving them the vital role of making sure the client is receiving what he or she has asked for.

The editors then have the next vital role in actually creating what the client wants. The editors will receive the brief and use them as guidelines when producing the trailer. Whilst the editor is doing what they do best for however long a period of time, the producer will check up on them every now and again just to make sure they in keeping with the guidelines and not creating something completely opposite to how the client envisioned it.

Once the editor has finished their creation they will then be able to send it to the client, who will then either approve, or send back feedback. Once the feedback is received by the editor, then they will be able to adjust the trailer to how the client has asked.
This bounce back of feedback and adjusting may go on for a while; however the client will approve the trailer eventually.

Once approved, the trailer is then sent to our online editor, who neatens everything up. He will then export the film for sound mixing, which is when a separate company amends the sound so it is correct for cinema or TV.
Once this is complete, the online editor can then add the sound to the edit. It will then be handed to the producer, who will then present to the client.

The production process involves a lot of different people and their knowledge, and everyone involved has a vital role and a big responsibility.
