1.1(2.1) Describe a range of prospective employers and the profiles and products of these employers

Black Dog 

Black dog is a creative media company, mainly focusing on producing and creating music videos. It has done so for the likes of Gwen Stefani, Sam Smith, and Kylie Minogue. 
Black Dog works alongside multiple successful directors, and help their work come to life. 
Music videos have always been a career that has taken my interest due to the amount of creativity that is included in them.


Ideal Position: 
A possible ideal position in this company would be in the production aspect. Being able to take control of these films and send those out to the world would be a great thing to be a part of.
Since working as a ‘Production Assistant’, my interest in this has grown, finding out the many different stages and filters a film has to go through till finally reaching its destination on TV or online. 

Editing is also something that I have gained curiosity in recently, since being given the opportunity to shadow editors at what they do best. Although it seems the pressure is certainly on almost 24/7 for these editors, they are able to use their creativity and show that through their individual takes on their projects.

Editpool

Editpool is a creative media agency, that produces advertising for clients. They have won multiple Golden Trailer awards for their outstanding work for film companies on all radio, TV and online. 
They have worked alongside companies such as Warner Bros, Lionsgate and Studio canal.


Ideal Position: 
I am currently training for a Production Assistant position, and hope this carries on for many more years. The company itself is an incredible place to start in the creative media industry, and I am able to learn the ins and outs of it, again finding out the process of the production of a film trailer. 

Again, an editor position is something that I’ve gradually become curios about since starting at Editpool. The ways in which editors are able to create incredible moments or suspense in these trailers interest me and hope to be able to learn more from them. 


Lionsgate 


Successful film companies such as Lionsgate are famous for creating some of the best movies and TV series ever. They have won multiple awards for their incredible creations over the years, including the Saw series, Hunger Games series and Twilight (Breaking Dawn). The company was founded in 1997 and is based in California.

Ideal Position: 
Editing has always interested me, and to edit a huge-scale film would be an incredible task to take on. Being able to pick and choose moments and how to present them to the audience is a huge responsibility for an editor, especially on incredibly successful films or series. But to be given that responsibility means that you are able to show your work and your interpretation of the story to the rest of the world (and would mean you’re probably great at editing).
